Watson’s Edible Glitter growing in popularity

In addition to its regular booth, Watson Inc. will be also exhibiting a booth at the International Baking Industry Exposition that’s specifically dedicated to its Edible Glitter product, due to an increase in demand from bakers. Taking place in Las Vegas Oct. 8-11, the IBIE is produced by the American Bakers Association and the Baking Equipment Manufacturers and Allied. Watson will have a main booth on the upper level of the show floor and a separate Edible Glitter booth on the lower level of the show floor. “We have seen a steep increase in demand for the Edible Glitter products in commercial bakery applications,” says Moira Watson, vice president of marketing. “We feel that the increased demand is due to several regulatory changes and consumer trends that are coming together at the same time.” Edible Glitter is free of both partially hydrogenated vegetable oil and sugar.
